“Spark” tells the story of Ricky, a robot from the future who travels back in time to 1984 on a critical mission: he must stop the internet from ever having existed.
It features Tony Award winner Paul Sand, Cody Veith from Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn, and the hilarious comic Mort Burke (Enlisted, Mindy Project, Workaholics). It is intended as a companion piece of sorts to my feature film Gods and Robots, which also features Ricky the Robot. Working with some amazing talent and with a robot that was built from spare parts by the amazing Paul Pearson was a real dream for me. One day, I do hope to bring Ricky back for an encore.
Spark had a fantastic reception in festivals including LA Shorts Fest, Macon Film Festival, and Carmel International Film Festival.
